A comedy of manners set against the backdrop of contemporary London and the international art scene.
London’s art scene is a shark tank. Gallery owner Art Spindle schemes to flip a Mondrian for millions, while his assistant Beth seduces top client Bob Macclestone, angling for her own gallery. Bob’s wife Jean becomes infatuated with rising artist Jo, who’s distracted by Paige, Art’s newest hire. Meanwhile, videographer Elaine tears through friends, lovers, and her agent Dewey in pursuit of fame. Loyalties fray, betrayals mount, and the Mondrian? Everyone’s after it. No honour among thieves.
Rialto Recommends: Boogie Woogie for its wickedly sharp take on the cutthroat London art world. It’s sly, biting, and proof that in this game, everyone’s for sale.
